STP MBBR Process

About MBBR Technology

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is an advanced biological wastewater treatment process that combines the benefits of conventional activated sludge and biofilm systems. This innovative technology provides efficient treatment in a compact footprint.

Key Features

  • Compact design with high treatment efficiency
  • Lower operating costs compared to conventional systems
  • Minimal maintenance requirements
  • Excellent shock load resistance
  • No sludge return required
  • Easy installation and operation
  • Suitable for small to large scale applications

Applications

  • Residential complexes and townships
  • Commercial buildings and hotels
  • Educational institutions
  • Industrial facilities
  • Municipal sewage treatment

How It Works

The MBBR process uses small plastic carrier elements (biofilm carriers) that move freely in the reactor. These carriers provide a large surface area for microorganisms to attach and form a biofilm. As wastewater flows through the reactor, the biofilm treats the organic matter and nutrients, producing clean effluent.

Benefits

Our MBBR systems are designed for maximum efficiency and reliability. They offer superior treatment performance while maintaining low operational costs. The modular design allows for easy expansion and customization based on your specific requirements.
